Privacy Policy — Component Copy

Component Copy is a browser extension that lets you pick a UI element on a web page and download a PNG screenshot. This policy describes what data the extension uses.

Data we collect

We do not collect, sell, or transmit your personal data to any server. The extension runs entirely in your browser.

Local storage

Your padding preference (a single number) is saved locally on your device using chrome.storage.local. It is not synced or sent anywhere unless you use Chrome sync for extensions (handled by Google, not by us).

Permissions

• activeTab — Used only after you click the extension to capture a screenshot of the current tab.
• scripting — Injects the element picker on the active page when you start selection. No broad access to all sites by default.
• storage — Stores your padding setting locally.

Page content

Screenshots are processed in your browser and downloaded to your device. We do not receive copies of pages you visit or images you capture.
